Aug 23, 2013 How to use the 1199 Panigale's Ducati data analyser.

(First: Apologies if this has been brought up already, but I couldn't find the thread if it has.) So, I finally got around to playing with the DDA on the R, but I for the life of me can not get the software to work on the new MacBook Pro. When the device is plugged into the laptop (after you enter the rider name, location, etcetera) the error says 'A communication occurred while trying to transfer data from the DDA device.'

Fancy Widgets Serial Number. The Prosa website appears to be less than helpful/useful and keeps referencing an instruction manual that I have never seen, or can locate. Am I alone in this whole Ducati Data Acquisition/Apple problem?

Download Program At90s2313 With Arduino Board. Gecko Apr 23rd 2014 12:25 PM. I run the DDA software on my Macbook Pro with no problem. There are 2 programs, the DDA Listener and the DDA Analysis. You have to run the Listener program, and then plug in the DDA to the USB port.

That should kick off the download of the file, and it gives you the options to either leave the file on the USB stick or to delete it, and then it will automatically open the DDA Analysis software so you can look at the data. I open the Downloader, plug in the DDA (which sees 1 of 1 runs), I enter who rode, where the trip was and the destination folder, click 'Start Download'.then the error happens. It reads 'a communication occurred while trying to transfer data from DDA device. Reconnect the device and retry the operation.' I click the 'OK', try again, but it gets to the same point and then gives the same error each time. I have since found the installation instructions on the Prosa site, but did not see anything special for Mac.

Don't know, that's exactly how I do it and it works fine so must be some kind of technical problem with the install on your MAC or??

Maybe try submitting a technical support request on the Prosa site. It's kind of buried in there, but if you log in and click on the technical problems area, and select the option that says your problem has not been solved by the FAQ's there's a page where you can submit a support request.

Says a lot a about the 848. What's the potential for the 899 to better the 848 times? If it was the same time on the same track, I have little doubt the 899 will be faster once I get it all set up and get more seat time on it. The best time I ran on the 848 at that track was 4 years ago when the track was in better condition, so if I do run the same time on the 899 it would actually be quite a bit better.

And that 848 had a built race engine in it, putting out about 130 HP at the wheel, so it's really about the same as the 899 as far as power. It also had full Ohlins forks, racing reduced-offset triple clamps, flat-rate rear linkage and Ohlins TTX rear shock, full Brembo racing brake setup, etc. But it didn't have any electronics on it, they didn't exist yet at that point. I probably weighed 10 lbs. Less back then as well, so I guess it's a good thing the 899 is lighter!

I've been using the DDA+ GPS kit at both of the track days I've done so far this year, and I must say it's proving very valuable! Here's an example of the kind of analysis you can do with it, below are two laps from the same track (Mid-America Motorplex) one lap on my 1199 from two years ago and a lap from last Monday on my 899. See if you can tell which lap is which! Also, if you look closely at the Speed chart at the top of the screen, you can derive several interesting pieces of information from it! At the bottom you can see the DTC chart showing where the traction control was kicking in, and by how much, which is also valuable to know.Right. DDA+ collected.

Trying to install. Stuck with the upper nose/headlamp cowling.

All panels around it off. Can't see any screws to release the nose cone? Any advice guys? Photo would be great.
