I started work on a Mode 7 system (more specifically, 3D maps and objects). You can see a web demo here; I stopped working on it because the MV community didn't seem interested at all.

It's rather complicated too. In older RPG Makers we could call compiled Windows libraries which meant we could do fast mode 7 without needing any 3D acceleration, but MV doesn't have the option to use libraries (by default) and MV uses a very slow scripting language, so mode 7 is really difficult to get working in a compatible way. However, MV does support inbuilt 3D acceleration, so true 3D graphics can be used, however this loses some compatibility.

I am still thinking about continuing this Plugin. At the moment I am writing other Plugins at the weekend to help prepare for a potential 3D map Plugin in the future (pixel movement) so when they are done, I *might* do a 3D map Plugin, depends on if the MV community becomes interested or not.
