Line 6 popularized that for the masses, but to have it on a Vox amp with a pre-amp tube is incredible. One unheralded feature is the power 'sponge', which allows you to turn the wattage anywhere from 15W all the way down to zero. This is useful for people who need to practice more quietly, without compromising their tone. There are 22 preset tones (many modeled after popular songs), but I think that I'll get more use out of using it as a straight amplifier with the 11 built-in effects.

Reverb sounds great, and the delay feature has a great 'tap' button feature, in lieu of guessing how many miliseconds the Edge played on in 'Where the Streets Have No Name.' There might be a bit of a learning curve to get the tone you want, but the quality of the sound is so good that you'll have a great time figuring it out. I have been totally blown away by the performance and versatility of this little powerhouse, and honestly hate to turn it off.

From clean to crunch to max overdrive, this is 'the little amp that could'. I mainly play for my own enjoyment, and this amp fulfills my every need and then some. All I have to say is WOW!!! This baby rocks. I had purchased a Line 6 Spyder IV 15 a few weeks ago but had to return two of them due to technical problems.effects of Line 6 were pretty nice, but overall, the sound of that amp was too shallow without much character.The guy at Guitar Center was a great help and recommended the VT15.I've played guitar for 35 years and was skeptical of a 'tube/solid state hybrid'.but it's the real deal: warm tube tones in the vintage amp models, and awesome 'Heavy' sound for all the cranksters! I needed a practice amp. Because my half stack is too loud for the house (neighbors). I found this and was blown away by the sound and the amount of features it provides for being a 15W tube amp. It has 22 awesome amplifier models (so far I like all of them), 11 effects and the reverb, thats about all you need. I guess what really impressed me the most about the amp, is that I'm used to playing with the band with my half stack so I never expected this little thing to be able to get so loud.

And to top it all off, the really cool tube tone. Best for the price, Highly recommended!!!

This thing's a powerhouse even for it's small size. I got nice clean tones and powerful distortion and it blew my brothers Vypyr 30 clean out of the water, this being a tube amp and all. It sounded much more natural and pleasing to my ear. I suppose the amp has a fairly steep learning curve but that's what they make manuals for, right? I give this a 5 for sound, 5 for looks, 5 for price/value and 4 for ease of use. I could do a durability test on it too I suppose and it would probably get a 5.

Very well made piece of equipment. My only complaint so far was the excessive hiss from the speaker even when no guitar was plugged in but it seems to have gone away after a few hours of use.

Recently I bought this little guy to use along side it live and you would be amazed at how loud this amp can get. 1:00 volume postition on this is about equal to 10:00 on the 120 watt amp when the vt15 is up off of the floor.

The tones and sound quality in the Valvetronix line is nothing short of brilliant!!! The amp models and effects are very believable and the line out amp simulator is spectacular for direct recording.

I recently bought and sold a Boss RV-5 Reverb pedal because I think the Valvetronix's reverb sounds warmer. Vox has really done well for themselves in everything they do! I hope they keep the quality up and don't go the way of a lot of other companies who sacrifice quality over pennies.

Bought this a couple days back, and still can't put my guitar down. Been a fan of Vox for years, used to have the AD50VT, which I loved, but it took a dive off the back of a truck. So, I've been playing acoustic for many years now, and decided it was time to get some electric back in my life.

I tried Marshalls, Fenders, Line 6, even bought the Bugera V5, which within a week returned, only to go back to the first amp that caught my attention. This thing is so loaded w/ features, not that I use half of them, but for the price, it's amazing. The addition of a separate reverb control is very handy, the other 11 effects are easily manipulated. 22 cab/amp modes give you all the flavor you could need. And the two banks of 4 user presets are awesome! I'm done comparing amps forever.

As long as Vox is in business, I'll be buying from them. Given i am not a Vox fan. I'm a blues player but out of the 22 amps i had to choose from it was perfect. Tweed deluxe,tweed bassman, 4x10 super, even a 2x12 tweed twin is all in this amp.not to mention the classic vox and marshall and matchless and all the other amps.

Not much for effects but its there if i nee'em. But honestly the tweed collection only is what got me hooked.

I got an Epiphone SG 300 the other day and the combination is awesome. I still have a lot of exploring to do with the various settings on the amp. For those of you who have this amp, go to the Vox website where they have user-submitted settings for various tonal combinations. I set mine on the Clash City Rockers setting and love the sound. VERY feature rich for such a little guy. Before getting this (had it for over two years now), I had a single, average electric guitar and a cheap Ovation acoustic. No new equipment for years. Now, I've added an Ovation Balladeer 12 string, a Dean, an Epiphone Les Paul, a drum machine, a bass, another amp, and more. I'm considering buying one of it's bigger brothers.
